Stepping Up...

It's hard to believe we're almost finished with our journey through the Psalms of Ascent. Our ladies will meet one last time at 6:30 Tuesday for hot soup and warm fellowship as we wrap this study up. I'm hoping to get another study going after the first of the year (suggestions? I'm leaning toward Beth Moore's new one - "Esther - It's Tough Being a Woman").
So, even though we're finishing this study, we still have hearts set on pilgrimage - our destination and our fellow pilgrims! With that in mind, I thought it might be fun if the bloggers among us kept in touch here, maybe posting each week something God is teaching us through His Word. (Kind of an accountability challenge!) It could also be a forum for sharing prayer requests. Let me know what you think. It will only work if we have PARTICIPATION! A one-way conversation is no fun - believe me, I should know!!!
By the way, this conversation would be open to anyone - not just those involved in our last study. So spread the word! I'm excited to see how this little experiment works out! Let's get it started. If you're reading this, click on the word "comments" just below this post and let me know what you think!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Yay! Now, write something in that box ----> where it says 'leave your comment.' If you don't have a "Google/Blogger" identity, just click "anonymous" but sign your name within your comment so we know who you are (unless you would prefer to remain anonymous!) If you want to be a regular blogger, click Google/Blogger and it will prompt you to set up an identity. It's easy - and fun! Love you!

I can't believe this study is coming to an end. This just may be my favorite! "For such a time as this!" This journey has been wonderful. Makes me want to grab our lanterns, walk through the streets singing praise songs and travel with my sisters to the next part of our journey. "We're marching to Zion" has taken on a new meaning to me. Hey, maybe that could be one of the songs we could sing marching through the streets.....Thanks Les for your leadership! Lo

I'm with Lo.... I can't believe it's almost over. It has been so good.

I really want to do the study in the spring. My biggest problem will be baseball games.

I, personally, love the idea of we bloggers continuing to comment & have prayer requests. It would be cool if we could keep it to people we have a connection with... you know??? Maybe not your great aunt's sister-in-law's father... (Just my opinion & not that I don't think we need to pray for those people, but we could have 500 names on here in a minute & not have time to pray for those we have a real connection with).

I agree with Susan on Prayer requests.

This has been a wondrous study for me also! I have had to live some of the things just right out.....it demolished my heart and it has helped me to allow God to make me have a new heart that is more pleasing to Him. You think you are somewhat okay and then Bam! some more sanding occurs. Ouch

Thanks, Leslie...this is FunLowe

Thanks for participating, sisters! I agree with all of you! This has been a shorter study (6 weeks as opposed to 11 or 12) but so meaningful, and timely. God is so good like that. And I agree with Susan. It would be great if we could share requests that have to do more with spiritual health than physical health, although all are welcome. Here's one: the students are fasting and praying for lost friends from tonight (Tuesday) until church supper Wednesday. Please pray that there will be a great harvest! Thanks!
